UniSlit Corporation is a film, paper and paperboard converting company with deep roots in mechanical engineering and machine fabrication. Our family company, DIMMCO, Inc. (Dixie Machining & Mfg. Company), has been designing and fabricating specialty machines and equipment for the film and paper converting industry for over 40 years.

In 1999, DIMMCO purchased a top of the line slitting machine to be used as a test bed for its patented ExpandaChuck expanding shafts and chucks. That same year my brothers Terry and Andrew joined me to start UniSlit Corporation. We used that "top of the line test bed slitter" to produce custom and toll slitting jobs for various packaging companies.

In recent years UniSlit has expanded into larger more lucrative contracts by purchasing additional slitting and large format sheeting equipment. Our engineering background and experience has allowed us to view the paper converting and brokering business from a different perspective which has resulted in excellent quality products and service to our valued customers.

We also export various paper and paperboard grades to Europe and Asia. Our close proximity to Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA afford us low drayage to their ports. We have established deep discounts with freight forwarders giving us very competitive shipping line rates to major ports around the world.

In 2008 we ventured into the production and printing of disposable paper floor mats for the automotive industry. Our years of paper converting and brokering have afforded us strong and direct relationships with the country's largest paper mills and suppliers. We keep a large in-house inventory (80 – 100 truckloads) of a specialty paper stock that is ideal for disposable floor mat use.
